THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
LIBRARY EQUIPMENT AND FURNITURE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Library has equipment and furniture in the old library which will not be
used in the new library;AND,
WHEREAS,Linda Mack,Director of the Library,would like to advertise this equipment
and fumiture on statewide listserve dedicated to public library needs and concerns;AND,
WHEREAS,all items not sold by this method would be stored by the City and sold at a
City Auction to be held later this spring or summer;AND,
WHEREAS,this method of disposing of the equipment and furniture would let those
individuals most interested in the equipment and furniture the opportunity to purchase the
items prior to the general auction.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City ofWaulcee City Council in
session this 7th day of April 2003 that it hereby approves and authorizes the sale of
surplus library equipment and furniture.1
