RESOLUTION 03-88
APPROVING THE CITY OF WAUKEE RESUMPTION OF UTILITY BILLING
AND WAUKEE TAUKEE PUBLICATION FUNCTIONS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee wishes to provide for its citizens a cost effective
program;AND,
WHEREAS,a cost analysis of the current billing process ofDMWW juxtaposed with
cost analysis of the in house projected billing process shows a savings of approximately
$5,000,if the billing is processed in house;AND,
WHEREAS,the cost of publishing the Waukee Taukee has increased during the last year
and additional increases in the cost ofDMWW utility billing is anticipated during the
coming years;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is in a good position to take back the billing process
while DMWW continues with the meter reading.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7'11 day of April 2003 that it hereby approves resumption of utility billings
and Waukee Taukee publication functions.
