RESOLUTION 03-104
APPROVING CONTRACT WITH LEE ENGINEERS &SURVEYORS AS
ENGINEERS FOR UNIVERSITY AVENUE WIDENING PROJECT
BETWEEN 142ND STREET NW AND WACO PLACE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,LEE Engineers &Surveyors was the low bidder on an RFP submitted to a
total of seven engineering frrrus;AND,
WHEREAS,LEE Engineers &Surveyors are new to the City of Waukee,city staff
requested a contract be submitted for review by the City Attorney Paul Huscher who
indicated the contract was legally correct and binding on both parties;AND,
WHEREAS,LEE Engineers &Surveyors have agreed to provide the services as defined
in their original proposal dated March 31,2003 for the lump sum amount of$126,050.00,
payable in monthly installments based on the percentage of work completed and
substantiated by monthly progress reports.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 5th day of May 2003 that it hereby approves the contract with LEE Engineers
&Surveyors for engineering services for the University Avenue Widening Project
between 142nd Street NW and Waco Place.
