APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE TERRUS GROUP FOR
PREPARATION OF NPDES GENERAL PERMIT FOR INDUSTRIAL
ACTIVITIES APPLICATION NO.1 AND STORM WATER POLLUTION
PREVENTION PLAN WITH IMPLEMENTATION DOCUMENTS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Enviromnental Protection Agency has mandated that all waste
treatment plants designed to process one million gallons per day or more are to be
covered under an NPDES General Permit for Industrial Activities;AND,
WHEREAS,application for this permit,which includes not only the waste treatment
plant but also all adjacent city owned property,is due June 30,2003;AND,
WHEREAS,the Terms Group is proposing to contract with the City of Waukee to
provide the City with an NPDES General Permit for Industrial Activities Application No.
1 and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan with implementation documentation for a
flat fee cost of $2,240.00;AND,
WHEREAS,staff have reviewed the proposal and recommend hiring the Tenus Group
for this project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 19th day of May 2003 that it hereby approves the agreement with The Tenus
Group for preparation of the NPDES General Permit for Industrial Activities Application
No.I and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan with implementation documents,
