RESOLUTION 04-141
APPROVING VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.AS DESIGN ENGINEERS FOR THE
STORM WATER DRAINAGE FOR LAUREL STREET AND 5TH
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Beverly White of 450 Laurel Street requested consideration and possible help from
the City of Waukee in addressing the drainage problems at the apartment complex in which she
lives;AND,
WHEREAS,council directed staff to investigate the situation and attempt to prevent a
recurrence;AND,
WHEREAS,City Staff requested Mile Briedis of Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.to review the drainage
area and evaluate possible causes of the flooding;AND,
WHEREAS,after receiving a report from Mr.Briedis dated June 1,2004,which is hereby
attached,City Staff are requesting from the Council permission to designate Mik Briedis as
design engineer for the Storm Water Drainage on Laurel Street and 5th Street.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21't day of June 2004 that it hereby approves designating Mile Briedis of Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.
as the design engineer for the Storm Water Drainage on Laurel Street and 5th Street.
