RESOLUTION 04-175
APPROVING RECEIPT OF THE WEST METRO AVIATION MASTER PLAN,
RECOMMENDATION OF THE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE AND DESIGNATION OF
DALLAS COUNTY AS THE SPONSORING AGENCY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City is a participant in a j oint study of the establishment of a regional airport in
the west metro area,eastern Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City is now in receipt of the West Metro Aviation Master Plan as prepared by
McClure Engineering Co along with the report of the Oversight Connnittee and its
recommendation that there be developed an airport Authority Agreement in pursuant to Chapter
303A,Code ofIowa,for consideration by those wishing to further participate in the project;
AND,
WHEREAS,it will be helpful to designate a sponsoring agency to facilitate the preparation and
distribution of such an agreement;AND,
WHEREAS,Dallas County has consented to serve as the sponsoring agency for these purposes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee,Iowa as follows:
SECTION 1.The West Metro Aviation Master Plan as prepared by McClure Engineering Co.is
hereby received and directed to be filed.
SECTION 2.The reconnnendation of the Oversight Committee to proceed with the preparation
of an aviation authority agreement for our review is hereby accepted.
SECTION 3.Dallas County is hereby approved as the sponsoring agency to facilitate the
preparation and distribution of said agreement for consideration by the City and other
participants.
SECTION 4.The Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the
Dallas County Board of Supervisors.
