RESOLUTION 04-180
APPROVING DESIGNATION OF TRILIX MARKETING GROUP
AS THE CITY'S MARKETING FIRM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Mr.Tim Shields moderated a strategic planning session for the Development
Connnittee on March 3,2004;AND,
WHEREAS,one of the recommendation from this meeting was that the City retain the services
of a professional marketing firm;AND,
WHEREAS,the Development Committee responded by creating a Request for Proposal (RFP),
which was mailed to 20 local marketing firms;AND,
WHEREAS,of the 20 mailings,three firms responded:Two Rivers,Trilix and Performance
Marketing;AND,
WHEREAS,the Development Committee reviewed and scored the proposals and interviewed
the three marketing firms;AND,
WHEREAS,post interview ranking was:(1)Trilix,(2)Two Rivers,(3)Marketing Performance;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Development Committee consisting of Michelle Durrand-Adams,John Alman,
John Turpen,Todd Noah,Rick Mosher,Council member Nick Gruber and Community
Development Director J ody Gunderson,recommend hiring the marketing firm of Trilix,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of August 2004 that it hereby approves the designation of Trilix Marketing Group as the
City's marketing finn.
