APPROVING PURCHASE OF A 2003 EMERGENCY 95 ARTERIAL
PLATFORM ON A CII CUSTOM CHASSIS LADDER FIRE TRUCK
FROM EDM EQUIPMENT
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORJTYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,ChiefSesker,members of the Fire Department,and city staff have
reviewed the fire truck proposals and the financing proposals;AND,
WHEREAS,Chief Sesker and others ofthe review group recommend purchasing the
2003 Emergency One 95 Aerial Platform on a cn Custom Chassis,Stock #126652 for
$595,000 and additional equipment for $30,000 for a total of $625,000;AND,
WHEREAS,after review of all financing proposals,the group also recommends
accepting the financing proposal from Charter Bank,which has a payout amount of
approximately $659,687.50,16 months from date of the Note with a fixed interest rate of
3.70%with tax-exempt status.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 16th day of August 2004 that it hereby approves purchasing a 2003
Emergency 95 Arterial Platform on a cn Custom Chassis Ladder Fire Truck from EDM
Equipment.
Furthermore,the Council approves the financing proposal offered by Charter Bank of
Waukee,Iowa in the amount of$625,000 at 3.70%interest on a 16 month Note.
