RESOLUTION 04-196
APPROVING THE WARRIOR PARK GRADING IMPROVEMENTS REVISED
CONTRACT WITH VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,183.07
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Veenstra &K:innn,Inc.have worked on this project since middle of
February,2004 to create construction diagrams for Warrior Park;AND,
WHEREAS,the original design included an ice skating rink;AND,
WHEREAS,the ice skating link was deleted from the project because the rink would be
difficult to maintain with Iowa soils and weather;AND,
WHEREAS,this was done after the plans and specs were completed by Veenstra &
Kimm and after the original billing;AND,
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm are asking for an additional $1,183.07 to compensate for
revision ofthe plans to include grading around the ballfields;AND,
JWHEREAS,Staff recommends approving the additional compensation for Veenstra &
Kimm,Inc.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this so"day of August 2004 that it hereby approves the revised contract for
Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.in the amount of$I,183.07 for Warrior Park Grading
Improvements PTOj ect.
