RESOLUTION 09-152
APPROVING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S EMPLOYMENT GOALS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Jeffrey L.Kooistra is serving as the City Administrator for the City of
Waukee at the will of the City Council of the City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,a performance evaluation was conducted between the City Administrator and
the City Council of the City of Waukee and it was determined that employment goals
should be set for the City Administrator based on said performance evaluation;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council hereby determines that the employment goals attached as
Exhibit A should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the
employment goals for the City Administrator Jeffrey L.Kooistra are attached hereto as
Exhibit A and the same are hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this,the 20th day of
July 2009.

City Administrator Goals
A.Continue to work towards the completion of the Alice's Road corridor and
interchange.
B.Improve communications to the Mayor,City Council and the general public
through a communication plan which utilizes the use of the website,social
networking and other technological means that helps advance the City.
C.Evaluate,and as necessary,improve the operations of all city departments in
providing service to the community and its citizens.
D.Develop a 5 year organizational and staffing plan for all City Operations.
E.Explore options for the establishment of a Civil Service Commission,
F.Develop a 3,5,7,and 10 year financing plan for the Copeland Sports and
Recreation Facility.
G.Continue to explore and advocate recreational opportunities for the connnunity.
H.Continue to carry out the action items of the comprehensive plan.
1.Advance economic development in Waukee through WEDCO and other
community partners.
J.Pursue annexation west of the City.
K.Make changes to the budget process to involve more citizen input.
