RESOLUTION 09-155
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY CLOSING
OF PAINTED WOODS DRIVE FROM 355 PAINTED WOODS DRIVE EAST TO 450
PAINTED WOODS DRIVE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 P.M.ON SATURDAY,
AUGUST 22,2009 AND 1:00 A.M.ON SUNDAY,AUGUST 23,2009 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY,PENDING WAUKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
APPROVAL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Heidi DeWitt,440 Arrowhead Dr.,reqnests the temporary closure of Painted Woods
Drive from 355 Painted Woods Drive east to 450 Painted Woods Drive for the purpose of a
neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed between the hours of3:00 p.m.on Saturday,August 22,2009
and 1:00 a.m.on Sunday,August 23,2009;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;AND,
WHEREAS,City of Waukee Police and Public Works Departments have reviewed the street closure
application and recommend approval,while the Waukee Fire Department has not yet had the
opportunity to review the application.
NOW Tl,lJ,;W'FORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this #6'rd
day of :l:iiij~09 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive from 355
Painted Woods Drive east to 450 Painted Woods Drive between the hours of3:00 p.m.on Saturday,
August 22,2009 and I :00 a.m.on Sunday,August 23,2009 for the purpose of a neighborhood block
party,pending Waukee Fire Department approval.
