RESOLUTION 09-154
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY CLOSING
OF SE FLORENCE DRIVE FROM SE ROSENKRANZ DRIVE NORTH TO SE BOOTH
DRIVE ON SATURDAY,AUGUST 15,2009 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 P,M.AND
10:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY,PENDING
WAUKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT APPROVAL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,James W.Allen,1470 SE Florence Dr.,requests the temporary closure of SE Florence
Drive from SE Rosenkranz Drive north to SE Booth Drive for the purpose of a neighborhood block
party;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed between the hours of3:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.on Saturday,
August 15,2009;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds maybe temporarily closed by
resolution;AND,
WHEREAS,City of Waukee Police and Public Works Departments have reviewed the street closure
application and recommend approval,while the Waukee Fire Department has not yet had the
opportunity to review the application.
NOW iNfMFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this~ifc.l
day of rd!B09 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of SE Florence Drive from SE
Rosenkranz Drive north to SE Booth Drive on Saturday,August 15,2009 between the hours of3:00
p.m.and 10:00 p.m.for the purpose of a neighborhood block party,pending Waukee Fire Department
approval.
