RESOLUTION 04-25
APPROVING ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER AS THE GUIDE TO
PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE FOR ALL COUNCIL MEETINGS AND
SUPERSEDED BY THE CITY COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURE ONLY
WHERE THERE IS DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE TWO SETS OF RULES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City Council of Waukee refers frequently to Robert's Rules of Order
when questions of procedure come before the council;AND,
WHEREAS,Robert's Rules of Order do not supplant the City Council Rules of
Procedure most recently adopted August 2003;but are in addition to them;AND,
WHEREAS,if a discrepancy between the two sets of rules should occur,the Council's
Rules of Procedure will supercede that of Robert's Rules of Order.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 2nd day of February 2004 that it hereby approves Robert's Rules of Order as
the guide to parliamentary procedure for all council meetings and is to be superceded by
the City Council Rules of Procedure only where there is discrepancy between the two sets
of rules.
