RESOLUTION 04-31 I
APPROVING CHANGE IN HOURS OF ST.PATRICK'S DAY EVEN HOSTED BY
MIPFOUR,INC.DBA MICKEY'S IRISH PUB
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the application by MipFour,lnc.DBA Mickey's Irish Pub was originally for an
enlarged outdoor service which would include the following:
1.Tent by Carter Rental
2.Beer huck by Nesbit Distributing
3.Live entertainment by several bands from 7PM to IIPM under the tent
4.Insurance through Mauro Insurance
5.Portable septic services
6.Fencing by Carter Rental
7.Clean-up by Smith Parking Sweepers
8.One OT more off-duty police officers;AND,
WHEREAS,Mr.Steve McFadden,owner of Mickey's Irish Pub,was unable to be present at the
January 26,2004 meeting at which time this issue was discussed and has indicated that he will be l
present at the meeting scheduled for February 2nd,2004 to assure the council that the loudness of
the entertainment would be monitored throughout the evening;but in particular from 10PM to
1lPM and that rowdiness and loud noise would not be tolerated after 10PM,AND,
WHEREAS,the Council members indicated their willingness to hear Mr.McFadden's
presentation on this matter but may not be willing to alter the 5:00PM to 10:00PM time
established for this event,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of February,2004 that it hereby approves the request of Mickey's Irish Pub to hold an
outdoor service event at their establishment in Waukee during the hours of 5 :OOPMthrough
12:00AM on St.Patrick's Day,Wednesday,March,17,2004 with the understanding that the
