RESOLUTION 04-29
APPROVING VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC AS ENGINEERS FOR THE
SOUTHFORK DRIVE CULVERT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee assumes responsibility for water way drainage
throughout Southfork subdivision;AND,
WHEREAS,V &K have studied drainage issues in and surrounding Southfork and have
found the culvert under Southfork Drive to be in need of replacement;AND,
WHEREAS,V &K have submitted a proposal including in that proposal a not to exceed
charge of $9,I 00 for engineering services and approximate construction costs of $73,500;
AND,
WHEREAS,city staff have reviewed V &K's proposal and are recommending that this
project be started this spring and completed before the University Widening Project is
completed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 2nd day of Febrnary 2004 that it hereby approves Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.as
engineers for the Southfork Drive Culvert Improvement Proj ect.
