RESOLUTION 04-44 I
APPROVING PROPOSAL SUBMITTED BY
TIMBERPINE NURSERY FOR LANDSCAPING SERVICES FOR THE
UNIVERSITY AVENUE WIDENING PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Requests for Proposals for Landscape Design Services for the City of
Waukee's University Avenue Widening Project in early December 2003;AND,
WHEREAS,eight firms responded to the RFP request and submitted proposals ranging in
cost limn a low of$3,300 to a high of$20,000;AND,
WHEREAS,TimberPine Nursery and Greenhouse,1897 Jewel Circle,Earlham,Iowa,
whose proposal included a finished design was the low bidder at $2,700 to $3,300;AND,
WHEREAS,TimberPine Nursery and Greenhouse will be responsible for design,bidding
ofthe project and supervision of installation;AND,
WHEREAS,city staff have visited with TimberPine Nursery and Greenhouse
representatives and are confident that their company will provide excellent service to the
City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 1st day of March 2004 that it hereby approves and accepts the proposal submitted by
TimberPine Nursery for landscaping services for the University Avenue Widening Project
