RESOLUTION 04-54
APPROVING THE TERMINATION OF ANY INTEREST THAT MICHAEL
AND PAULA TERRONES MAY HAVE IN THE OLD WAUKEE PUBLIC
LIBRARY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 500 6TH STREET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF tnt:CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee owns the property located at 500 6th Street which
formerly served as the Waukee Public Library,AND,
WHEREAS,the Public Library moved into their new facility in March,2003,AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee accepted bids for purchase of the old library property
on April I,2003,AND,
WHEREAS,Michael and Paula Terrones submitted the high bid of $150,000,which bid
was accepted by the City Council on June 16,2003,AND,
WHEREAS,the Terrones's have failed to complete acquisition of the property to date
and appear to have no further interest in purchasing the property,
JNOWTHEREFOREBEITRESOLVEDbytheCityofWaukeeCityCouncilin
session this 15th day of March,2003 that it hereby authorizes the City Administrator to
forfeit the contract for purchase (offer to buy and acceptance)entered into by tile City of
Waukee and Michael and Pallia Terrones for real estate locally known as the old Waukee
Library located at 500 6th Street,Waukee,Iowa.
