RESOLUTION 04-61
APPROVING PURCHASE OF 1,662 SQ.FT.OF COUNTRY CLUB WOODS
PLAT NO.5 FROM SARAH ELLEN FARMER IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,886
PLUS $200 LEGAL COSTS OR $6,086 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING
LAND PRIOR TO WIDENING UNIVERSITY AVENUE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Lee Engineers &Surveyors have determined that certain real estate must be
obtained by the City of Waukee as part of and prior to the widening of University
Avenue,AND,
WHEREAS,Lee Engineers &Surveyors have determined the real estate owned by
Sarah Ellen Farmer in the full amount of 1,662 square feet is to be purchased by the City
of Waukee for $5,886 plus $200 Abstract Title work,AND,
WHEREAS,according to the agreement signed by Sarah Ellen Farmer on the 12th day of
March,2004,"final acceptance and approval of this agreement shall be executed by the
Waukee City Council within a period of 60 days from signature date of this agreement",
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 19th day of March,2004 that it hereby approves the purchase of 1,662 sq.ft.
of Lot 5 of Country Club Woods,all Official Plat,from Sarah Ellen Farmer in the amount
of $5,886 plus $200 in legal costs or $6,086 for the purpose of acquiring land prior to
widening University Avenue.
