APPROVING THE NPDES PHASE II PERMIT APPLICATION PREPARED BY
VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Environmental Protection Agency published additional storm water
rules in the Federal Register;AND,
WHEREAS,a portion of these rules addressed requiring a Phase IIStorm Water Permit
for municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4s);AND,
WHEREAS,the council approved Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.as the engineering finn to
prepare the permit application for the NPDES Phase IIStorm Water Permit;AND,
WHEREAS,the permit application has been prepared by V &K and is being submitted
for Council's approval.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this.Ji.fl,day of April 2004 that it hereby approves the NPDES Phase II
Application and directs staffto submit the application no later than April 6,2004 to the
Iowa Department of Natural Resources,Environmental Protection Division.J
