RESOLUTION 04-82
APPROVING THE TERMS OF PURCHASE OFFERED FOR PARKLAND
FROM WILLIAMS TURF FARM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,City staff have worked steadily to obtain title to land for a park located in
Williams Pointe Plat 4;AND,
WHEREAS,of the 10.995 acres which comprise the park,9.168 acres were voluntarily
dedicated by Williams Turf Farm to the City of Waukee for park land;AND,
WHEREAS,the remainder of the park land was purchased from Williams Turf Farm for
$100,000,which sum will be reimbursed to the City through the LWCF Grant obtained in
2002;AND,
WHEREAS,the Park Board approved the park when the plat was considered;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff and Park Board members think this area will be an excellent park
facility for the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 19th day of April 2004 that it hereby approves the terms of purchase offered
for parkland from Williams TurfFann.
