RESOLUTION 04-100
APPROVING THE MOSQUITO CONTROL PROPOSAL FROM WILSON BROS.PEST
CONTROL IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,100 FOR THE FIRST TEN APPICATIONS AND
$790.00 PER APPLICATION THEREAFTER
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has implemented a Pest Management Program to control
mosquito infestation;AND,
WHEREAS,Wilson Bros.Pest Control and Mosquito Control ofIowa presented proposals for
providing the mosquito control for the summer of 2004.Wilson Bros.Pest Control proposal was
the lower of the two;AND,
WHEREAS,Wilson Bros.Pest Control will provide the following services:
a)Mosquito Control
I.Adulticide ~10 applications (only Thursday or Friday night unless permission is
granted by the City)
II.Larvacide ~3 applications (May 20,July 1 and August 15)
III.Barrier and Perimeter Control ~Centennial Park (June 19 and July 4)
b)Treatments to the entire City
c)Report insect ill and population of mosquitoes to City on a regular basis
Recommend control measures for standing water.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
hereby approve the proposal by Wilson Bros.Pest Control in the amount of $8,100 for the first
ten applications and $790.00 per application thereafter.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,low and approved the 17'h day of May 2004.
