RESOLUTION 04-115
APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF BID FROM MURPHY TRACTOR &
EQUIPMENT FOR A LOADER/BACKHOE IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,654
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Public Works Department is requesting the purchase of an additional
loader/backhoe;AND,
WHEREAS,the workload in the Gas,Water and Street Departments has increased to the
level that another backhoe is required to complete projects on time during the
construction season;AND,
WHEREAS,ofthe two bid notices returned,Murphy Tractor &Equipment was the low
bidder with a base price of$56,700,air conditioning of$1.200 and extended warranty for
36 months for full machine at $754.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7'h day of June 2004 that it hereby approves acceptance of bid from Murphy
Tractor &Equipment for a loaderlbackhoe in the amount of $58,654.
