Approving the order of detailed plans,specifications,Notice of Hearing,
Notice to Bidders and Form of Contract for the Wastewater Treatment
Facility Generator and Lift Station No.2 Improvements and Setting July
13,2004 as the date for Receipt of Bids therefore and Setting July 19,
2004 as the date for a public hearing thereon
WHEREAS,this Council has approved the Wastewater Treatment Facility
Generator and Lift Station No.2 Improvements;and
WHEREAS,detailed plans,specifications,notice of hearing and notice to bidders
and form of contract have been prepared and filed by Veenstra &Kimm,lnc.for such
project and have been examined by this Council;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to fix a time and place of public hearing on the
proposed project,form of contract,estimate of cost and to advertise for sealed bids for
the Wastewater Treatment Facility Generator and Lift Station No.2 Improvements.
NOW,THEREFORE,Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa,as follows:
Section 1.The detailed plans and specifications,notice of hearing and notice
to bidders and form of contract and estimate of cost referred to in the preamble hereof are
hereby approved.
Section 2.The amount of the bid security to accompany each bid is hereby
fixed at 10%of the amount of the proposal
Section 3.The City Council hereby delegates to the City Clerk the duty of
receiving,opening and tabulating the bids for the construction of the Proj ect,on the
thirteenth (13th)day ofJuly 2004,at 2:00 o'clock p.m.,at the office of the City Clerk at
the Waukee City Hall,230 Highway 6,Waukee,Iowa 50263.The nineteenth (19th)day
of July 2004 at 7:00 o'clock p.m.,at the Council Chambers,City Hall,Waukee,Iowa,is
hereby fixed as the time and place of hearing on the proposed plans,specifications,form
of contract and estimate of cost for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Generator and Lift
Station No.2 Improvements,and also as the time and place of considering bids received
by the City Clerk in connection therewith.
Section 4.The City Clerk shall publish notice of hearing and notice to
bidders,the same being in the form hereinabove approved and substantially as attached to
this resolution,which publication shall be made in a legal newspaper of general
circulation in the City,which publication shall be not less than 4 days nor more than 20
days before the date set for hearing and receiving such bids.
Section 5.All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed,to the extent of such conflict.
