RESOLUTION 05-32
APPROVING SALE OF OLD LIBRARY BUILDING LOCATED AT 500 6TH STREET
TO SUGAR CREEK GOLF,L.L.C.AND SUGAR LAND,L.L.C.FOR $200,000
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Four proposals were received for the sale ofthe library building;AND,
WHEREAS,those proposals were as follows
1)Jerry D.Armstrong,Sugar Land,LLC,PO Box 496,Altoona,IA 50009 -offering price
of $200,000
2)Barry and Constance Nelson,13947 Oak Brook Drive,Urbandale,IA -offering price of
$135,000
3)Illumina,LLC,Davis Homes ofIowa and Jeffrey Jochims Investments -offering price of
$75,000
4)Frank Koss,14933 Rosewood Drive,Clive,IA -offering price of$10,001.99;AND,
WHEREAS,Staff and Council reviewed all of the proposals received and recommended
negotiating with J erry D.Armstrong and Karen Armstrong,Sugar Land,LLC,to sell the Library
to them for $200,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
28th day of February 2005 that it hereby approves the sale of the Library Building to Jerry D.
Armstrong and Karen Armstrong for the proposal and offer of $200,000.
