RESOLUTION 05-36
APPROVING A POLICY FOR THE RESUBMITTAL OF SITE PLANS THAT HAVE
RECEIVED PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE CITY COUNCIL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,on occasion a developer wishes to make changes to a site plan which has either
been recently approved by the City Councilor has been approved within the one-year subsequent
to the original date of approval;AND,
WHEREAS,such changes should be taken through the entire review procedure as outlined in
Section 304.8,Procedure,including (1)Pre-Application Conference,(2)Payment of Application
Fees,and (3)Continuous Site Plan Review of Planning &Zoning Commission and City Council;
AND,
WHEREAS,such a resubmitted Site Plan is subj ect to the same Actions as defined in Section
304.8(C)(I-10);AND,
WHEREAS,the Planning &Zoning Commission,having approved just such a resolution as this
in a regularly scheduled meeting on February 22,2005,encourage the Council to review this
resolution favorably.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
28th day of February 2005 that changes requested on recently approved site plans or site plans
that have been approved within one year of the date of approval shall first be reviewed by City
staff.If the staff determines that the changes requested are a sufficient departure from the
approved site plan,the plan will be resubmitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission for
recommendation prior to reconsideration of the plan by the City Council.If the revised site plan
is sent to the Planning &Zoning Commission,the applicable site plan review fee ($90 or $65)
and any engineering costs incurred in reviewing the requested changes will be payable by the
developer.
