RESOLUTION 05-33 ]
APPROVING SALE OF 1991 QUICK ATTACK GRASS FIRE RESPONSE
TRUCK BY THE WAUKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Department wishes to sell a 1991 Quick Attack Grass Fire
Response Truck;AND,
WHEREAS,the Fire Department states that the need for such truck has diminished over
the past three years due to fewer acres ofland being undeveloped and in grassland or
untilled acreages;AND,
WHEREAS,the Fire Department has stated to the council that the trucks remaining
would adequately be able to respond to any grass fire occurring in the years to come;
AND,
WHEREAS,the purchase of an additional transport vehicle such as a used Ford
Exhibition would benefit the citizens of Waukee and surrounding areas far better than a
currently infrequently used grass fire response truck.]
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 28th day of February 2005 that it hereby approves the sale of a 1991 Quick
Attack Grass Fire Response Truck by the Waukee Fire Department for $18,500.
