RESOLUTION 05-34
APPROVING PURCHASE OF 2001 FORD EXPEDITION
FROM MID STATES FORD FOR $13,100.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,sale of the 1990 or 1991 Ford Quick Attack Grass Fire Response Truck for
$18,500 has been approved by the City Council in Resolution No.05-33;AND,
WHEREAS,Clint Robinson,Ass't Vol Fire Chief and Mark Schmitt,Volunteer Fire
Chief have stated that getting a greater number of firefighters to the scene of a fire
quickly would be accomplished best by purchasing a four wheel drive vehicle;AND,
WHEREAS,Mid States Ford has offered to sell to the City of Waukee Fire Department
a 2001 Ford Expedition for the amount of$13,100.00;AND,
WHEREAS,additional equipment at a cost of $2,400.00 will be added to the truck
leaving approximately $3,000.00 from the sale of the Grass Fire Response Truck to be
placed in a truck replacement fund.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 28th day of February 2005 that it hereby approves the purchase of the 2001
Ford Expedition being sold by Mid States Ford at a price of$13,100.00.
