RESOLUTION 05-48 I
APPROVING THE FREE DISPOSAL OF ANY ONE KIND OF APPLIANCE
DURlNG THE CITY WIDE CLEAN-UP MAY 14,2005
AND APPROVING A FEE OF $35.00 PER APPLIANCE OF THE SAME KIND
WHEN DISPOSING OF MORE THAN ONE APPLIANCE OF THE SAME KIND
AT ANY ONE RESIDENCE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,past experience with City Wide Clean-up Days,have led staff to believe
that appliances are being brought to the City for disposal during Waukee's Clean-up Day;
AND,
WHEREAS,City Public Works recommends that a fee of$35.00 be initiated during the
2005 Clean-up day for the second,third or more appliances ofthe same kind;AND,
WHEREAS,this sticker applied to the second,third or more appliance of the same kind
would not eliminate the pick-up of more than one appliance of the same kind per
household;but would require payment for all appliances greater than one of the same
kind,
JNOWTHEREFOREBEITRESOLVEDbytheCityofWaukeeCityCouncilin
session this 28th day of March 2005 that it hereby approves the requirement that disposal
of more than one appliance of the same kind from anyone residence will require the
purchase and application of a $35.00 sticker.
