RESOLUTION 05-57
APPROVING ESTABLISHING AN AD HOC COMMITTEE
TO REVIEW EMPLOYEE BENEFITS WITH THE INTENT
TO IMPROVE OR MAINTAIN BENEFITS WHILE REDUCING COSTS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,it has been determined that a committee consisting of council representatives,
employee and union representatives and citizen members would be beneficial in serving on a
Employee Benefits Review Committee;AND,
WHEREAS,the purpose of this committee is to take advantage ofthe wealth of knowledge and
experience residents possess in the area of Employee Benefits;AND,
WHEREAS,this committee will be charged with the task of reviewing the City's benefit
package,improving where possible and reducing the cost where possible;AND,
WHEREAS,this committee is intended to be finished by July 1,2005,unless an extension is
requested;AND,
WHEREAS,the number of committee members will vary according to the number of volunteers
wishing to participate;but the number shall not exceed fifteen;AND,
WHEREAS,Council members Nick Gruber and Bill Peard will serve as the Council
Representatives
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
4th day of April 2005 that it hereby approves the establishment of the Employee Benefits
Review Committee.
