RESOLUTION 05-60 I
APPROVING PROCEDURES FOR WEB SITE INQUIRIES,COMMENTS OR
CORRECTIONS FROM CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Council member Bailey requested procedures to be followed when an
inquiry concerning the Waukee Web Site is to be made by a Council member;AND,
WHEREAS,those procedures have been written and are as follows:
PROCEDURE FOR WEB SITE
INQUIRIES,COMMENTS OR CORRECTIONS
FROM CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
I)All inquiries,comments,corrections from City Council members
should be directed to the Web Site Contact Person (the Contact
Person).
2)The Contact Person will respond to all inquiries,comments or
corrections in one ofthree ways:
a.answer your questions,respond to your comments,or make
the corrections
b.refer your comments,questions or corrections to Trilix,Inc.
for their explanations,modifications or corrections
C.refer your comments,questions or corrections to the
responsible staff
3)The Contact Person will,in most instances,respond with an
email to the Council member initiating the inquiry,comment or
correction and copying all other Council members as to the
original problem or concem,her response,Trilix or staff
response,and estimated time for completion of changes or
corrections,if any.
4)If the Contact Person refers the comment,question or correction
to a staff person,the staff person is to inform the Contact Person
of the resolution of the inquiry by email or the estimated time for
completion of the changes.The Contact Person will respond to
the Council members.If staff wishes to contact the Council
member either by email,in person or by phone,he/she is
expected to send an email to the other four Council members and
to the Contact Person giving these five people the same
information.
S)The Contact Person will keep a log of all inquiries,comments,
corrections requested or made by Council members.He/she will

record all pertinent information with respect to each entry.The
log will also be used to keep a record of the public's comments,
inquiries,aud corrections.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 4th day of April 2005 that it hereby approves implementing the above
procedures.
AND ALSO BE IT RESOLVED that changes to the above procedures may be made to
improve the communication among Council members aud staff aud Trilix,Inc.as
becomes necessary during the next few months with the understanding that major
changes will be presented to the Council for its approval.
