RESOLUTION 05-12
APPROVING DALLAS COUNTY NEWS AS THE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION
FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE FOR THE YEAR 2005
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is required to name an official publication for the
purpose of publication of official notices and other required publications;AND,
WHEREAS,such publication should be available to the general public and have regular
circulation in the City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,The Des Moines Register,Dallas County News,and the Press Citizen
submitted bid letters;AND,
WHEREAS,the Dallas County News was one of two bidders for calendar year 2005
who bid $.175 per line for legal notices and $.1435 per line for publishing of ordinances;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Dallas County News offers posting oflegal notices on the Adel News
web site as well as on the Iowa Notices web site.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 3rd day ofJ anuary,2005 that it hereby approves the appointment ofthe
Dallas County News as the official publication for the City of Waukee.
