RESOLUTION 04-212
APPROVING PAYMENT OF RETAINAGE FOR IOWA SIGNAL &ELECTRIC
CO.FOR THE lIICKMAN ROAD ARTERIAL STREET LIGHTING PROJECT
PHASE II IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,126.40
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Iowa Signal &Electric Co.was awarded the Contract for the Hickman
Road Arterial Street Lighting Phase IIProject;AND,
WHEREAS,Snyder &Associates has reviewed the project and the Certificate of
Completion was approved by the Waukee City Council on August 16,2004;AND,
WHEREAS,the State ofIowa Code,§573.13 and §573.14 state that fund not exceeding
5%of the contract price shall be withheld from payment and shall be retained for thirty
days beyond the date offinal acceptance of the improvement;so that funds will be
available for the payment of claims for materials furnished and labor performed on the
improvements;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,
Iowa that the payment of retainage for Iowa Signal &Electric Co.for the Hickman Road
Arterial street Lighting Project Phase IIin the amount of$9,126.40 be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa and approved the 27th day of
September 2004.
