RESOLUTION 04-250 I
APPROVING A 12-MONTH LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DOWNING
DEVELOPMENT FOR THE STORAGE OF CITY-OWNED EQUIPMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Department of Public Works is in need of additional space to store
City-owned equipment where that equipment is protected from the environment;AND,
WHEREAS,Public Works Director John Gibson recommends leasing an area described
as "75 N.E.Venture Drive,Suite E,F and G,Waukee,Iowa"from Downing
Development,Ltd.;AND,
WHEREAS,this space comprising an area of 6,000 square feet is to be rented by the
City from December 1,2004 to November 30,2005 at a base rental of$23,400.00 per
year plus payment of all utilities except water,which is to be paid as a proportionate
share of square footage of building or 21.4286%ofthe total monthly water bill.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 1st day of November 2004 that it hereby approves leasing Suites E,F &Gin
a facility located at 75 N.E.Venture Drive,Waukee for the purpose of storing City-
owned Public Works equipment during the period,December 1,2004 through November
30,2005 at a base rental of $23,400 per month plus payment of gas,electricity and
telephone and proportionate share of water.
