RESOLUTION 04-266
APPROVING PROPOSAL OF CH2MHILL TO COMPLETE A NATIONAL
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND PRE-
LOCATION STUDY FOR THE ALICE'S ROAD &1-80 INTERCHANGE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,CH2M HILL has submitted a proposal to complete an environmental impact and
pre-location study for the Alice's Road &1-80 Interchange to comply with the National
Environmental Policy Act;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed study is divided into 8 different tasks and will generate 5 'reports'
plus other information available to the engineers completing the project;AND,
WHEREAS,the cost of this prepared study will not exceed $105,703.00;AND,
WHEREAS,the Department of Transportation has indicated that federal funds allocated for this
project may be used to pay for the Pre-location Study;AND,
WHEREAS,this proposal comes to us without benefit of a contract to review,staff recommend
approving the proposal with the stipulation that the City Attorney review the contract prior to
official approval by the Mayor and as attested to by the City Administrator/Clerk.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
20th day of December 2004 that it hereby approves this proposed study with the stipulation that
the City Attorney review the contract prior to the mayor's certification of the council's approval.
