RESOLUTION 04-271
APPROVING THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S FINAL REPORT
FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,2004
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is an incorporated City within Dallas County,
Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council of Waukee awarded the contract for audit services to
Denman and Company,LLP on February 17,2004;AND,
WHEREAS,Denman and Company,LLP has audited the FY2004 books and has found
them to be substantially in compliance with state laws;AND,
WHEREAS,Denman and Company,LLP has made all the necessary changes to the
FY2004 report to be in compliance with the new GASB34 reporting requirements;AND,
WHEREAS,City Responses to all recommendations in Part 1 -Findings Related to the
Financial Statements and Part 2 -Findings Related to Required Statutory Reporting were
accepted by the auditing finn,Denman and Company,LLP;AND,
WHEREAS,Dave Ellis and Joann Miller of Denman and Company,LLP will present
their findings to the Mayor and Council at the December 20,2004 Council Meeting.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this zo"day of December 2004 that it hereby approves the auditor's Financial
Report of General Purpose Financial Statements and Supplementary Information
Schedule of Findings FY2004.
