RESOLUTION 08-50 I
APPROVING THE PROPOSED FY2009 BUDGET
IN THE NAlvfE AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is a duly incorporated City within the County of Dallas
and the State ofIowa AND,
WHEREAS,the State ofIowa has set March IS as the date cities must submit a certified
budget to their respective county auditors AND,
WHEREAS,all City departments have worked hard to create the FY2009 budget,and to
maintain the $13.50 tax rate for the Waukee citizens,for the ninth year in a row AND,
WHEREAS,a public hearing was held March 10,2008 during the regularly scheduled
council meeting to seek and to receive citizen input concerning the proposed FY2009
budget AND,
WHEREAS,the city council,after reviewing the proposed FY2009 budget and after
receiving citizen input on the FY2009 budget,finds the FY2009 budget fiscally
responsible and responsive to the needs of the city.1
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 10th day of March 2008 that it hereby approves the proposed FY2009
Budget.
