RESOLUTION 08-48
SUPPORTING THE WAUKEE AREA LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE'S COMMUNITY
GRANT WRITING PROGRAM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Leadership Institute is dedicated to promoting personal and
professional development by providing an ongoing venue fOTeducation and information;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Leadership Institute wishes to institute a Waukee Community
Grant Writing Program,which shall establish a standing steering committee and program
designed to benefit fundraising fOTworthy community causes through education on grant writing
and application processes and approaches;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City COl111cilfully SUppOTtSthe efforts of the Waukee Area Leadership
Institute to establish the Waukee Conununity Grant Writing Program.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City COl111Cilin session this loth day
of March 2008 that it hereby supports the Waukee Area Leadership Institute's Community Grant
Writing Program and supports the submittal ofthe Community State Bank Community
Enrichment Grant application.
