RESOLUTION 08-75
APPROVING WEB COMPLIANCE AND MESSAGE SECURITY COVERAGE
CONTRACTS BETWEEN POSTINI,INC.(GO OGLE)AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee's current software for filtering spam messages,Spywarc and
computer viruses is no longer being supported or upgraded by the manufacturer;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of West Des Moines Information Technologies (IT)Department,which
also provides IT services for the City of Waukee,has researched the matter and recommends
Postini,Inc.(Google)as an up-to-date and cost-effective provider of web compliance and
message security support services;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attorney has reviewed contracts for Google Web Compliance and
Message Security services,and City staff recommend approval of said contracts.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 7'h day of April 2008,that the Web Compliance and Message Security Contracts between
Postini,Inc.(Google)and the City of Waukee are hereby approved.
