RESOLUTION 08-90
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF THE PRIMARY MEMBER FOR
THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO)
TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE YEAR 2008
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the
Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation
Technical Committee (MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,on January 7,2008,the City of Waukee City Council approved the Mayor's
appointment of Director of Community Development Jody T.Gunderson as the primary
representative to the MFO TTC (Resolution #08-09);AND,
WHEREAS,as of May 3,2008,MI.Gunderson is no longer an employee of the City of
Waukee,malting it necessary for the Mayor to reappoint a primary representative to the MFO
TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the remainder of calendar year 2008,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed
Director of Planning Brad Deets as the primary representative to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 5th day of May 2008,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointment to the Des Moines
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Technical Committee.
