RESOLUTION 08-118
A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION FOR THE HIGH QUALITY JOBS CREATION

WHEREAS,representatives of The Greater Dallas County Development Alliance have
been working with TEAM Des Moines Partners,LLC,which are considering expansion in the
Community of Waukee in which the total capital investment may exceed $14,379,360 and create
up to 11 jobs in which all of the jobs will exceed 100%of the average regional wage of $18.87
per hour of which 6 jobs will exceed 130%of the average regional wage of $24.53 per hour in
Dallas County,Iowa within three (3)years;and
WHEREAS,the expansion of TEAM Des Moines Partners,LLC is contingent upon
receiving benefits as described under the High Quality Jobs Creation Program from the Iowa
Department of Economic Development;and
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,will provide a tax rebate for a period of five (5)years
on a sliding scale based on the proposed development agreement with Knapp Properties;
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Waukee City Council endorses this
Iowa Department of Economic Development Application for the High Quality Jobs Creation
Program,and encourages the Iowa Department of Economic Development Board to give quick
approval to said project.
