RESOLUTION 08-135
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM ASHWORTH DRIVE WEST TO 6TH STREET
ON FRIDAY,JULY 4,2008 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:30 A.M.AND 10:00 A.M.
FOR THE BOY SCOUTS ANl'~uAL 4TH OF JULY FUN RUJ'~
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Boy Scouts have requested that Walnut St.be closed from Ashworth Drive
west to 6th Street between the hours of 6:30 a.m,and 10:00 a.m.on Friday,July 4,2008 for the
staging area for their annual 4th of July Fun Run;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.l2(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
16th day of June 2008 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut St.from 6th St.
east to Ashworth Dr.on Friday,July 4,2008 between the hours of 6:30 a.m.and 10:00 a.m,
