RESOLUTION 09-197
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE INSTALLATION AND FIRST YEAR WARRANTY
OF TREES FOR THE RACCOON RIVER VALLEY TRAIL EXTENSION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City seeks to have trees installed from Warrior Lane to Windfield Park along
the Raccoon River Valley Trail Extension in the City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,the estimated total cost of the project does not exceed the competitive bid threshold
established in Chapter 26 of the Iowa Code (2009);AND,
WHEREAS,the City made a good faith effort to obtain quotations for the work from at least
two contractors regularly engaged in such work and received three quotations;AND,
WHEREAS,of the three quotations received the lowest responsive quotation was received from
A1Carey Landsape in the amount of $9,977.92 as reflected in the material presented to Council.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED on this the 5th day of October 2009 by the City Council of
the City of Waukee that quotation submitted by AlCarey Landscape attached hereto should be
accepted and receive tho 00"tra 0<award.Ii
