PRELIMINARY RESOLUTION 09-230
PRELIMINARY RESOLUTION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION,REPAIR AND
REPLACEMENT OF SIDEWALKS TO BE PAID BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee has determined that a public improvement project should be
undertaken in accordance with the 2009 sidewalk improvement program;AND
WHEREAS,sidewalk installation,repair or replacement remains to be undertaken at the
following properties:
1.11 NE Sunrise Drive
2.45 NE Carefree Lane
3.85 NE Carefree Lane
4.345 NE Cardinal Lane
5.395 NE Cardinal Lane
6.80 NE Dartmoor Drive
7.135 SE Laurel Street
8.610 SE Meadowlark Lane
9.375 SE Cardinal Lane
10.395 SE Cardinal Lane
11.605 SE Cardinal Lane
12.610 SE Cardinal Lane
13.20 SE Marshall Drive
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee,in accordance Iowa Code Section 384.42
(2008),desires to pass a preliminary resolution.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that:
1.Under the 2009 sidewalk improvement program sidewalks are to be installed,repaired or
replaced and to be paid in whole by the benefited properties on which the sidewalk will
be installed in accordance with Section 218.4 of the Waukee Municipal Code (2008);
2.The sidewalks shall be installed,repaired or replaced in accordance with Section 218.4 of
the Waukee Municipal Code (2008)on the following properties:
a.11 NE Sunrise Drive
b.45 NE Carefree Lane
c.85 NE Carefree Lane
d.345 NE Cardinal Lane
e.395 NE Cardinal Lane
f.80 NE Dartmoor Drive
g.13 5 SE Laurel Street
h.610 SE Meadowlark Lane
1.375 SE Cardinal Lane
J.395 SE Cardinal Lane
k.605 SE Cardinal Lane
1.610 SE Cardinal Lane
m.20 SE Marshall Drive
3.That said properties will be specially benefited by the improvements;
4.That the City Engineer,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.shall commence to prepare preliminary
plans and specifications,estimated total cost of the work,and a plat and schedule which
shall be filed with the City Clerk
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 16th day of
November,2009.
