RESOLUTION 09-246
AFPROV AL OF AN AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
RELATED TO THE PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING AND
DESIGN OF AN AQUATIC CENTER FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE VOTERS OF
THE CITY OF WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on September 28 and October 15,2009,the Waukee Aquatic Center Committee
reviewed proposals submitted for the engineering and design of a possible aquatic center;AND,
WHEREAS,the Aquatic Center Committee recommends the proposal submitted by Water's
Edge Aquatic Design of Lenexa,KS,be accepted;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attorney has reviewed the proposed Agreement for Professional
Engineering Services and finds it satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7'h day of December 2009 that the Agreement for Professional Engineering Services with
Water's Edge Aquatic Design related to the preliminary engineering and design of an aquatic
center,is hereby accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City and Water's Edge Aquatic Design will not
proceed with Phases II-VI of the Agreement until after such time as an election is held on the
fmancing of an aquatic center,and such financing is approved by election.
