RESOLUTION 09-247
APPROVAL OF AN IOWA JOBS PROGRAM GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on July 20,2009,the Waukee City Council approved an Iowa Jobs Local
Infrastructure Program Application for the Waukee Public Works Facility ("Project")
(Resolution #09-149);AND,
WHEREAS,on August 31,2009,the Iowa Jobs Board voted to award a grant of up to
$3,450,000.00 to the City of Waukee,which equals 50.00%of the projected cost of the Project;
AND,
WHEREAS,in order to receive the grant award for the Project,the City of Waukee City
Council is required to approve an Iowa Jobs Program Grant Award Agreement;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attorney has reviewed the proposed Agreement and has issued an opinion
on the matter.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council in session this 7th day
of December 2009 that the Iowa Jobs Program Grant Award Agreement is hereby accepted and
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Waukee City Council wishes to acknowledge and
sincerely thank the State of Iowa and the Iowa Jobs Board for their support of the Waukee Public
Works Facility Project,without which the timeline for the construction oft Project would be
significantly extended.
