RESOLUTION 08-162
APPROVING THE ELIMINATION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT AND THE POSITION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DIRECTOR AND TO DIRECT STAFF TO AMEND THE CITY'S BUDGET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,due to continued growth and development within Waukee and need to reorganize
the City staff positions,City staff recommends that the Community Development Department
and position of the Community Development Director be eliminated;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council has determined that through the budget amendment
process in the spring the Community Development Department's budget be transferred to the
City Administration budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 7'h day of July,2008 that it hereby approves the elimination of the Community
Development Department and Community Development Director's position,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the budget for the Community Development Department
be transferred to the City Administration budget through the budget amendment process in the
spnng.
