RESOLUTION 08-157
APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OR REAPPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN MEMBERS
TO THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THREE-YEAR TERMS TO END
JUNE 30,2011,AND OF A CITIZEN MEMBER FOR A ONE-YEAR TERM TO END
JUNE 30,2009
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,each year the mayor must appoint or reappoint citizen members to those boards
which have mid-term appointments scheduled to expire on June 30,which includes the Library
Board of Trustees;AND,
WHEREAS,there is also an opening on the Library Board of Trustees,created with the
resignation of Rose Nutt,whose term was to expire on June 30,2009;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed Alanson Van Fleet,Cindy Garmon and
Kevin Tow to the Library Board of Trustees for three-year terms to end June 30,2011;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed Rebecca Johnson for a one-year term to end
June 30,2009 in order to fill the unexpired term of Rose Nutt.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7th day of July 2008 that it hereby approves the mayor's appointments to the Library Board of
Trustees for three-year terms to end June 30,2011,and for a one-year term to end June 30,2009.
