RESOLUTION 08-170
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF SE ROSEWOOD DRIVE FROM SE OLSON DRIVE SOUTH AND WEST
TO SE WACO PLACE ON TUESDAY,AUGUST 5,2008 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF
6:00 P.M.AND 8:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK
PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Shari Butler,1000 Rosewood Dr.,requests the temporary closure of SE Rosewood
Drive from SE Olson Drive south and west to SE Waco Place for the purpose of a neighborhood
block party;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed between the hours of 6:00 p.m.and 8:00 p.m.on Tuesday,
August 5,2008;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21 st day of July 2008 that it hereby approves,pending approval by the Fire Chief,the temporary
closing of SE Rosewood Drive from SE Olson Drive south and west to SE Waco Place on
Tuesday,August 5,2008 between the hours of 6:00 p.m.and 8:00 p.m.for the purpose of a class
reunion.~
