RESOLUTION 08-169
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 6TH STREET WEST TO THE EAST LINE OF
THE ALLEYWAY BEHIND 400 6TH STREET ON SATURDAY,AUGUST 2,2008
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 P.M.AND 2:00 A.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
CLASS REUNION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Gary Syre of Chops Old Bank Bar,400 6th St.,requests the temporary closure of
Walnut Street from 6t Street west to the east line of the alleyway behind 400 6th Street for the
purpose of a class reunion;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed between the hours of7:00 p.m.and 2:00 a.m,on Saturday,
August 2,2008;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21 st day of July 2008 that it hereby approves,pending approval by the Fire Chief,the temporary
closing of Walnut Street from 6th Street west to the east line of the alleyway behind 400 6th Street
on Saturday,August 2,2008 between the hours of7:00 p.m.and 2:00 a.m,for the purpose ofa
class reunion.
