RESOLUTION 05-143
APPROVING WHOLESALE WATER SERVICE MASTER AGREEMENT
WITH BOARD OF WATER WORKS TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
DES MOINES,lOW A AKA DES MOINES WATER WORKS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Des Moines Water Works (DMWW)is restating the terms under which
DMWW provides wholesale water service to participating cities,utility boards,water
associations,water districts and other entities;AND,
WHEREAS,the restated terms are meant to provide all recipients of the services provided by
DMWW,the following:
(1)assurance ofunifonn terms and conditions for the provision of wholesale water
supply
(2)provision for further purchases of capacity;and
(3)knowledge of other provisions,which govern wholesale water supply as provided by
DMWW;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has been a recipient of the services provided by DMWW since
August 9,1988;AND,
WHEREAS,mindful of such services,City staff recommend adoption of the operational
agreement:Wholesale Water Service Master Agreement,which is to be effective April I,2005.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
1st day of August 2005 that it hereby approves the Wholesale Water Service Master Agreement.
